quilt software package provides Tool to work with series of patches, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install quilt
quilt is installed in your system.
Make ensure the quilt package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep quilt *
You will get with quilt package name, version, architecture and description in a table
